Celebrating 22 years in picturesque Elm Hill, we are, and we support local Artists, Crafters and Makers.

The Jade Tree is a co-operatively run shop and gallery. Our distinctive buildings are home to five Artist’s studios and a quirky shop where you can buy their work – much of it exclusive – as well as “simply beautiful things” by over 60 other local artisans, all of whom we know personally.

Our Gallery is home to painting, ceramics and textiles, while in the shop you will find a broad selection of jewellery, and handmade cards – for which we have always been a destination of choice – and a stylishly curated selection of handmade gifts, from soap to glass and wood to felt.

In our beautiful hidden courtyard, you can rest among garden sculptures, historic gargoyles and wood carving.

Everything is local and handmade, so you know you will find products that are different to those on the high street.

You can be assured what you are purchasing is one-of-a-kind, so please pop in and see us to learn the stories behind our Makers and their products.

The Artist’s are in their studios most days, so there is a real chance to meet them and find out about their work or have a friendly chat.

Regular mini workshops: these are often free drop-in events that offer a taster session to learn new skills.
